Warning! Topspot-Promotions Scam!
Warning to all bloggers… Today I received this email:
Topspot-Promotions, an established advertising company, would like to pay you for placing a small advertisement on glasgow-effect.tumblr.com for one of our customers.
These days we are using a few methods of advertising to guarantee that the ad we choose will fit the site nicely. After reviewing your website I thought about an advertisement that fits perfectly a few pages on glasgow-effect.tumblr.com.
This is a scam! Topspot-Promotions give no phone number and only a skeleton website. Do not fall for this scam… You will not be paid for any work you do. Worse, you risk having malware links on your blog/site.
Do not reply to mail from Topspot-Promotions - just ignore anything from them.
How do you know advertisers are genuine? Do a web search on their names and look for business addresses, phone numbers, and reviews from reputable websites.
